Eating and Drinking

There are plenty of options for eating out and drinking out.  The village of Enix has three bar-restaurants:

Bar - Restaurante Almeria

Restaurante Almerķa

This is a typically Spanish bar, popular with the locals and the proprietors are very friendly.  The restaurant is very popular at lunchtime where they do a roaring trade with builders working on the developments around Enix.  If you want tapas, then sit at the bar.  The bar is closed during the evening after 7pm.  No English is spoken, so dust off that Spanish translation book.

Bar - Restaurante Avelina

Restaurante Avelina

A typical Spanish bar with a good menu and tapas located behind the church in the main square.  Open all day.  Popular with locals and visitors both Spanish and English.

Restaurante las tres patas

Restaurante las tres patas

Located approximately 2km outside of Enix, las tres patas (the three legs) is a bar restaurant.  The bar is situated just outside Enix (take the car) with a terrific view over the El Rey development and the pueblo of Enix.

They have a free pool table.

Bar/Club Social

Located in Enix village square next to the town hall, this English run bar is open daily between 9.00am and 3.00pm and from 8.00pm until late.  You will receive a warm welcome from Gary and Janet, and they offer a selection of tapas, ices (helados) and bar snacks as well as home made cakes made by Gary's wife, Pat!  Pop in for a drink, a bite to eat and, if Gary's there, a chat about football.

Roquetas de Mar

Roquetas de Mar is 30 minutes away by car but offers much more choice in restaurants and bars.

Meson el Bodegon

A Spanish restaurant, especially recommended, in the Playa Serena area of Roquetas de Mar.  They have a wide selection of fish dishes plus many meat and pasta dishes.  If you're up for a starter, try the Prawns pil-pil shared between two with some bread.   The wine list is good and very reasonable.    English is spoken.
